Description

A classic excursion for this period... We set off from Campo Blenio at 10:00, preceded as last week by a human snake, and climbed along the forest road to Ronco di Gualdo, where we arrived at 11:25. The group ahead of us took a left and climbed up to the Pradasca alp, while we, after a short break, crossed the small bridge and climbed directly to the Bovarina alp, arriving at 12:45. After a short lunch-break, we continue along the gully that climbs to Alpe Bovarina, but we turn left before reaching it, shortening the route. Then descent to Alpe Pradasca, Ronco di Gualdo, and return to Campo Blenio at 16:00. WT2 for my companions who did it with snowshoes, T2 for me who did it all without: the snow was so compact and the crust frozen and bearing, that my boats, I mean, my feet, did not sink.
