Introduction

Nice snowshoe hike, very panoramic over the entire Sole and Peio valleys, on a clear day you can admire all the peaks of the Brenta, Adamello Presanella, Ortles - Cevedale group and Catinaccio.

Description

Snowshoe hike description. from Cellentino continue as far as you can and park your car. Follow the forest road and the path to Malga Campo for a few stretches. From the hairpin bend where there is a bar, keep to the left, a fairly steep path, once you reach the road, do not climb up from the path that crosses but continue along the road, after the hairpin bend you will find a path to the right and follow that to the left, always steep, until you come to a small path on the right that continues a little steeply and then halfway up to the plateau of Celentino Lake Monte from where you can admire a fantastic view of the peaks and the valley. Be careful because you can almost always see the golden eagle, symbol of the Stelvio National Park. Continue on a small summer path until you reach the other valley from where you can see the Pozze area where you can see the malga and the hut. From here, if you have left your car in Ortisè, you can continue to the malga and descend into the valley from the road and cut a few hairpin bends when you reach the bridge, after a few minutes you will find a small path on the right that descends into the village until you reach Ortise. Or you can keep to the left and go up until you reach a small plateau, from here cross it keeping to the right and go down a track between the woods where you can see a plateau below and go down from the track of the path to the malga Campo, continue along the 132 signpost which goes down towards Cellentino to cross the path you took uphill. For the moment, the path is not very well marked and it is quite difficult to see it in winter as you do not know the area. To be on the safe side, you can ask for information or spend a few days at our hotel so we can accompany you.
