Introduction

An unnamed peak located at the end of the long crest bordered on the left by the place called Alta Luce. As an alternative to the ascent route, it is possible to make the long descent through the beautiful Salza valley, directly reaching Stafal. From the summit, you can enjoy a stupendous panorama of the Monte Rosa glaciers.

Description

Take the cable car up to Gabiet. From the arrival, go up along the downhill slopes to the plateau above the 'del ponte' hotel. Cross the entire plateau and then climb up to the left to a col with a ruin. When you reach it, descend halfway down the slope to the small Lago Verde dam. Cross the dam and ascend on a midslope to the right until entering a small valley, which you follow almost to the end and then again cross to the right and arrive in the basin below Col della Salza. Move to the right and ascend a slope, in the final steep section between slabs of reddish rock, until reaching the upper bumps. Continue along small valleys over varied terrain to the wide crest of the summit. On the descent, with safe and not too much snow, it is not necessary from the Lago Verde dam to go back up the col, but it is possible to descend a little further into the valley and then cross a steep section to the left and, with a traverse, reach the Gabiet lifts.
