Via Carnica, from Sesto

Description

From the Monte Elmo cable car from Sesto, we went left, towards the arrival of the cable car from Versciaco. On the right there is an evident path, although without the classic red and white CAI signs. We continued on this path first to the arrival of the ski lifts and then to Monte Elmo. We followed path 403. In view of the weather, we did not climb to the summit. The trail becomes more challenging after the small war cemetery, around La Muta. We continued to the Obstanser See and then turned right and "Back to Italy" on trail 160, 146 and finally on trail 13 we returned to the cable car departure point. Trail difficulty E up to the war cemetery, then EE. The crossing can be shortened by descending to Sexten from path 14
