.Description
The start is from the car park in Palù del Fersina, locality Frotten (1500m) Take path [343], which climbs steeply through the coniferous forest and skirts Mount Hoamonder (2185m) to the right. After about an hour and a half you will come in sight of the Sette Selle hut (closed for works). It is located at an altitude of 2014m and is surrounded by the steep slopes of Monte Slimber, Cima D'Ezze and Cima Sette Selle.
From the hut, path [343] rises rapidly between stones and rhododendron bushes to the junction with path [315], which leads to the Forcella d' Ezze. We continue to the right on path [343], which skirts the base of the stony and steep Sette selle. The ascent to the summit is recommended for experienced mountaineers because it includes some climbing sections.
There are visible traces of barracks and fortifications from the First World War. Continue along path [343] along the shoulder of Cima Sette selle, passing Forcella Sasso Rotto and over huge landslide blocks. At Forcella Conella (2198m), the view sweeps over the valley and the crown of peaks. After climbing to the top of the Lepri, at 2292 metres, then it is all a succession of forks and narrow, steep gullies overhanging Lake Erdemolo. At times you have to help yourself by clinging to the rocks, but the view is grandiose on one side over Lake Erdemolo and on the other side over the Cola and Hoabondi mountains. Go over the Monte del Lago and, once you have reached the Forcella del Lago, take path [325] which takes you back down a very steep descent to Lake Erdemolo, skirting the Pizzo Alto on the left.
You will pass the refuge on the lake and descend along the forest where, after crossing the Fersina stream, you will reach the car park along a comfortable forest road.
