Cima di Medeglia and Cima di Dentro

A quiet walk to recover from the stress of the week... We set off at 14:00 from Medeglia, climb up to Canedo, and at the tavern we turn right along the lanes first, to take the uphill path then. We pass Troggiano, the path becomes a forest path to take us to the last alp before the summit. A bit of attention to find the ascent path, to the right of the farmhouse in a birch thicket we see the mark on a rock. At 3:50 p.m. we are at the Cima di Medeglia, a cold and gusty wind, and yet the air is not clear. Beautiful view of the Piano di Magadino, and the crown of mountains that borders it. From the Cima di Medeglia we take the forest road that runs high above Cadenazzo, St.Antonino and Camorino, taking us first to the Monti di Medeglia, then to Cima di Dentro (where there is a large "Christmas tree" antenna), circumnavigating the Matro on the left. From Cima di Dentro an easy descent to Isone. We arrive at 18:15, just in time to catch the post bus back to Medeglia.
