Description

Having parked the car, cross the bridge and continue along the dirt track. A little further on, ignore a road that branches off to our left and continue into Valsessera. You then come to a widening where the building of the Piedmont Region guest quarters stands. Leave the building to the right and continue along the road, which begins to lose altitude. After crossing a bridge over a stream, the road begins to gain height again with a modest gradient; when the gradient decreases, leave a branch-off to the right and after about ten minutes you will find a dirt road that branches off to the left (metal barrier). Take this path, which immediately leads to a reversal of direction and gains height with a series of ups and downs. When you come out of the wood, you come to a fork in the road, ignore the path that branches off to the left and leads to the Campiello di Sotto alp, and continue uphill along the cart track. When you reach the wide building of the Campiello di Sopra Alp, where the road ends, go up along the meadow to the evident cement building above the Alp, where, a little below, the path starts off and, with a long cut to the left, leads to the col between the Asnass peak and Punta Dormiolo. When you reach the col, turn left along the elementary ridge that soon leads to the panoramic peak of punta Dormiolo.
