Description

We parked at the Naret dam, and walked along the path leading to the pass of the same name. Beyond the pass, we descended until we rejoined the path leading up from Ossasco (to our right), and continued uphill again to the spot where the old hut stood (swept away by an avalanche), and about 200 metres above the Cristallina hut with the pass of the same name. Lunch at the hut, which is a real gem, with extensive use of wood. Large dining room, room for storing boots and sacks, beach slippers for all and of all sizes. After lunch, we set off again, crossing the pass and descending to the Sfundau pond. After passing a small mouth from which the path branches off to the Basodino hut, we continued in the direction of the little Nero lake. Here, too, we continued to the left (to the right we would have descended towards Robiei), climbing up the ridge to a new nozzle, which brought us back to the Naret area. Along the ascent there are three challenging passages, facilitated by ropes and chains fixed to the wall. Beyond the vent we were confronted with a gully of about 2 km, which was challenging but very well marked (white-red-white) and led us to a flat area. At the end of this we arrived in view of the Naret pond, with a steep descent. The last stretch to the dam we rode on the forest road. Splendid tour, demanding in terms of length/descent. View ruined by the fog, we didn't see the Basodino with its glacier, and several small lakes in the area. Presence of ibex (I managed to photograph one) and marmots.
