Smugglers' Pass, from Malga Valbiolo

You go up the entire Val di Sole (or from the Ponte di Legno area) to Tonale, where you leave your car.
Introduction
The Tonale Pass, 1883 m, is an alpine pass at the end of the Val di Sole, on the border between Trentino and Lombardy.
Description
Malga Valbiolo 2244 m is reached by ski lift. The path starts behind the structure and immediately climbs up. Huge avalanche barriers stand out and there is a final, short but very steep section that leads to the Contrabbandieri Pass, 2681 m. There are beautiful views of Presanella to the south and the entire ridge has a system of walkways and fortifications dating back to the Great War. The ascent is a little strenuous, but short (1h25 walking time). Other splendid views are of the Val di Viso, the Ercavallo area, the Rif. Bozzi (2481 m away 45' - 1h ret. - Caution for the initial stretch, which is a little steep), Tre Signori, etc. Extreme caution must be exercised on the slope that falls towards the Valle di Viso. The return is by the ascent route and is very quick (50').
In summary: a day with a more than fair amount of time difference in height + 437 m Dif. E for about 2h15 Tot + all the breaks to see the various places that are encountered
