Lake Lantaney
Introduction
Beautiful hike in the little-known Lazey forests. You arrive at a basin with a series of small lakes below the north face of Mont Paramont. In Promoud, a bivouac is being built, which will be a stage post on the Alta Via 2, ready for 2007.
.Description
From the signpost (1150m), continue for about a hundred metres to a signpost indicating the path that climbs steeply through the forest to Lazey (1521m), which can also be reached along the dirt track (farmhouse, fountain). From here, continue along the road that touches a repeater, enters the valley, crosses the Lenteney stream on the left at a crossroads and continues on a very slight ascent to the houses of Montagna Alta (1649 m). At the end of the road, a path (yellow signs) climbs up into the beautiful forest until coming out near Promoud (2018 m). Cross the stream and climb up the grassy ridge behind the alpine pasture to a plateau at the end of which is the small lake (2127 m). The return is made by the same route as the outward journey (2h00').
