Description
From S. Leonardo, take the two chairlifts up to Ospizio Santa Croce.
From there, path no. 7 first contours the mountain, but soon the vegetation ends and the path begins to climb up unstable rocks.
You arrive at the first fixed ropes (short section).
The ascent alternates between sections on path and equipped sections (4 in all).
It is a very simple ferrata and never exposed. We had the equipment, but we did not use it. However, it is a good idea to belay the little ones as the equipped sections are quite long.
Gloves and a helmet are useful.
The path leads to Forcella Ju dla Crusc, from where you can continue on to Monte Ciaval (difficulty E) or Sasso delle Dieci (EEA. The last section is a short but steep ferrata) or you can continue on to Focella Medesc and from there to the Lavarella peak or Piz dles Conturines (easy ferrata).
Our intention was to go on the Piz itself, but given the weather we had to give up.
We first set off on path 12B and then opted to climb to the right towards the ridge path to return to the Ju dla Crusc focella and descend again on path 7.
Sooner or later we will be able to see that area in the sun!!!
