Introduction
Non vi è attività sportiva inerente alla montagna che gli ospiti dei suoi 64 alberghi non possano praticare, anche se le punte di diamante restano le guide (riunite in una Società che ha compiuto i 150 anni) e la Scuola di Sci Monte Bianco, che conta circa 100 maestri.
Se le notizie dell'esistenza del paese si perdono nella notte dei tempi e sono legate allo sfruttamento minerario della val Ferret, è dal XVII secolo che la località diventa famosa per le sue acque termali ferruginose e sulfuree. E' l'inizio della vocazione turistica del paese, che ora costituisce il motore di tutta la comunità.

If news of the village's existence is lost in the mists of time and is linked to the mining exploitation of the Val Ferret, it is from the 17th century that the resort became famous for its ferruginous and sulphurous thermal waters. This was the beginning of the tourist vocation of the village, which is now the driving force behind the entire community.
There is no sporting activity inherent to the mountains that the guests of its 64 hotels cannot practise, even if the jewels in the crown remain the guides (united in a Society that has celebrated its 150th anniversary) and the Mont Blanc Ski School, which has around 100 instructors.
